Software Engineer (Applied AI)

About the Position

We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer with experience in LLMs and custom fine-tuned models to advance our Manufacturing Systems and Operations. You will move fast prototyping ideas and experimenting with new approaches to solve existing problems better. This role will work with and across multiple organizations and functional roles to develop solutions that not only end up in production, but have a significant impact. Some solutions will be stand alone while others will be integrated into larger systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services
• Prototype and experiment with new approaches to solve existing problems
• Collaborate with multiple organizations and functional roles
• Develop solutions that have a significant impact on Manufacturing Systems and Operations

Requirements

• Experience with LLMs from companies like OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Mistral, Llama, etc.
• Experience with custom fine-tuned models such as Defog, Nous research
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with lots of ambiguity
