We’re expanding our Zagreb Engineering Centre of Excellence with a new Suite team, focused on bringing together capabilities from across F24’s existing product portfolio and helping shape the next generation of our platform.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer with a backend focus who has solid commercial development experience and is ready to take the next step in their career within a collaborative, product-led engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and Python
• Build and maintain REST APIs that integrate capabilities across F24 products
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new platform features
• Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Troubleshoot issues and contribute to improvements across existing services
• Work closely with Frontend, Product, Design and QA throughout feature delivery
• Contribute to automated testing and CI/CD processes
• Develop your understanding of scalable, secure and maintainable backend architecture
• Take increasing ownership of features from development through to production

Requirements

• Commercial software engineering experience with Node.js
• Experience with NestJS, Express or Fastify
• Experience designing, building or consuming REST APIs
• Good understanding of JavaScript and/or TypeScript
• Understanding of backend development principles and clean coding practices
• Experience working with databases and data-driven applications
• Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows
• Understanding of automated testing
• Good problem-solving and debugging skills
• Comfortable collaborating within a cross-functional engineering team
• An interest in developing your skills across architecture, cloud-native development and distributed systems
