Software Engineer (C/C++)

About the Position

PLVision is seeking a Middle C/C++ Software Engineer to join an international team on a new impactful company’s project. In this role, you will contribute to developing an embedded networking solution based on SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud) – the leading open-source network operating system used in cloud-scale data centers.

Responsibilities

• Develop a network operating system (NOS) for network devices such as switches and routers
• Participate in developing NOS features for cloud and data center networking
• Develop a library for modern ASIC configuration (SAI)
• Investigate and resolve networking-related issues

Requirements

• Proficiency in C/C++ programming
• Knowledge of Linux as a working environment
• Experience with Python, Bash, Docker, and Git
• Basic knowledge of L2/L3, tunneling, routing, switching, and network protocols
• Good troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Knowledge of technical English at an Intermediate level and higher

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of NOS and switching silicon SDKs
• Experience with Linux networking
• Contribution to open-source projects
