About the Role

We are seeking a Software Engineer for Developer Experience to join our team in Hyderabad, India, and work alongside our global team to enhance developer productivity and reliability.

You will be part of a team dedicated to the mission of enabling engineers to work quickly, easily, comfortably, and safely. Your responsibilities will include building AI-powered tools, improving CI and build reliability, enhancing developer features, and collaborating with engineers across the company to deliver an industry-leading developer experience.

Responsibilities

Build an AI harness to auto-resolve bugs reported for the Notion app.
Improve CI and build reliability to provide early feedback on changes.
Enhance developer features for our in-house, AI-first remote development environments.
Execute a shared roadmap with our US engineering team to increase developer satisfaction and enablement.
Collaborate with engineers across the company to improve the day-to-day developer experience.

Requirements

Over 10 years of experience with strong software engineering fundamentals.
Leadership skills to create technical roadmaps and execute large projects.
Enjoys learning new technologies and has demonstrated innovation.
Thrives in ambiguity and solves business problems through technology.
Demonstrates strong ownership and accountability.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience building or operating developer tooling with a focus on reliability, observability, and developer trust.
Comfortable with creating and hardening AI agents and agentic workflows.
Systems-level debugging and performance thinking.
Ability to multiply the team through clear communication, high-quality reviews, and coaching/mentoring.

Nice to Have

Some knowledge about building AI harness and tool building.
AI fluency for roles where it is a core requirement.
