Software Engineer (GO)

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (GO) with 4+ years of experience in Go, System Design, and scalable microservice architectures to join our remote team.

Responsibilities

• System Design & Architecture: Designing and evolving high-performance services and overall system landscape.
• Technical Leadership: Making architectural decisions and taking ownership of the technical debt.
• Mentorship & Code Review: Guiding team members and maintaining high standards of code quality.
• Problem Solving: Analyze technical problems and devise efficient solutions.
• Performance Optimization: Identifying and resolving bottlenecks in high-load components.
• Project Involvement: Engage in various projects that may include developing new features, improving existing applications, or migrating legacy systems to new platforms.
• Collaboration: Working closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of commercial experience with Go and a deep understanding of its internals (concurrency, GC, profiling);
• Strong experience in System Design and building scalable microservice architectures;
• Expertise in PostgreSQL: performance tuning, indexing strategies, and complex query optimization;
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes: understanding of resource management and service orchestration;
• Experience with distributed systems: understanding of consistency, availability, and common patterns (Saga, CQRS, Circuit Breaker, Transactional Outbox);
• Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to solving complex technical challenges;
• Strong communication skills, responsibility, and proactivity;
• Excellent time management and self-organization skills;
• Experience with CI/CD tools, specifically GitLab CI;
• Understanding Twelve-Factor App methodology.

Nice to Have

• Experience with NATS / Kafka or other messaging systems;
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm, GitOps);
• Experience with Observability stack (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana);
• Practical experience with Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP);
• Understanding different system design approaches (EDD, DDD,...);
• Intermediate English;
• Ability to make decisions in uncertain situations and quickly adapt to changes;
• Logical and coherent expression of thoughts with high attention to details;
