About the Position

Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest. Join the pioneering Servicing International team at the forefront of Affirm's global expansion, building the foundational platform to launch our products into a new generation of international markets. This role will focus on two critical parts of the user journey: purchase protection, including disputes and refunds, and agent tooling, which is essential for our agents to offer the best support possible to our customers-both significant areas of investment to ensure trust and satisfaction for our newest customers.

Responsibilities

  • Work on tasks that contribute to the team's projects and goals with the support of your team.
  • Collaborate and proactively engage with your team and stakeholders, creating visibility and dialog regarding the risks and trade-offs related to your work.
  • Strike the right balance of speed and quality in your work, ensuring that we hit our business goals while protecting our systems from downtime.
  • Contribute to a sense of community on your team by engaging in growth and development activities.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation as a requirement.

Requirements

  • Previous work or internship experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
  • Previous work or internship designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin.
  • Mastery of taking a simple problem or business scenario into a solution that interacts with multiple software components, and executing on it by writing clear, easily understood, well-tested, and extensible code.
  • Comfort in navigating a large code base, debugging others' code, and providing feedback to other engineers through code reviews.
  • Demonstrated ownership of your growth, proactively seeking feedback from your team, your manager, and your stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills that support effective collaboration with our global engineering team.

We Offer

  • Base Pay: 226,000 zł - 346,000 zł
  • Equity: Awarded in US Dollars with an example of $16,000-$24,000 for new hires and $5,000 annual refresh.
  • Flexible Spending Wallets: Up to 1,390 zł per month for technology and wellbeing needs.
  • Comprehensive Benefits:
    • Competitive paid time off, paid public holidays, and additional paid Away Days.

    • A MultiSport card to support your health and well-being.
    • Learning and development programs to help you grow professionally.
    • Family healthcare support through Maven and parental leave support through Parentaly.
    • Mental well-being support through Lyra, including up to 12 confidential counseling or coaching sessions each year for you and your household members.
    • Financial well-being support through Northstar, with unlimited access to Certified Financial Advisors and planning tools at no cost to you.
    • Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) that foster connection and inclusion.
    • Eligibility for creative tax benefits, subject to applicable law, role, and company policy.
