About the Position
Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest. The International Accelerator Engineering team is growing, and we're looking for a Software Engineer II, Fullstack (International) to join us! This role is remote-based in the UK and involves collaborating with a full-stack team located entirely in Europe. We directly improve the financial lives of over 20 million people shaping how Affirm builds Direct-to-Consumer products for Canada, the UK, and future international markets.
Responsibilities
- Break down larger projects into individual tasks and deliver them in multiple phases.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to support the product development lifecycle.
- Create and monitor metrics to support the operations and availability of your team’s artifacts.
- Engage in growth and development activities such as participation in the interview process.
Requirements
- 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
- Experience designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin.
- Ability to take a simple problem or business scenario into a solution that interacts with multiple software components.
- Comfortable navigating a large code base, debugging others' code, and providing feedback through code reviews.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
