Software Engineer – Interface

About the Position

ALTEN is looking for a skilled Software Engineer – Interface to join our team in Gothenburg, working on-site on a full-time basis. You’ll be part of a dynamic scrum team developing and maintaining the communication interface between vehicles and tools, including remote operations. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in an agile environment, enjoys solving complex challenges, and is passionate about delivering high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain communication interfaces for vehicle diagnostics and remote operations.
• Implement high-performance backend solutions using.NET Core and C#, with a focus on embedded systems.
• Develop and optimize cross-platform applications for Android and iOS using.NET MAUI or Xamarin.
• Work with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) to ensure scalable and reliable deployments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement reusable solutions for automotive diagnostics.
• Write and maintain Lua scripts for dynamic script generation pipelines.
• Participate in agile scrum processes, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Conduct performance tuning and memory optimization for embedded runtimes.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering with C# and.NET Core.
• Proven experience with AOT compilation strategies for embedded Linux environments.
• Strong backend engineering experience, particularly in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with cross-platform development targeting Android and iOS using.NET MAUI or Xamarin.
• Experience in automotive diagnostics or working with OEMs is a plus.
