Software Engineer (m/w/d)

Location: Kleinostheim, Germany

We are seeking a Software Engineer for our production and manufacturing team in Kleinostheim, Germany. Develop hardware-near software for measurement devices and optimize existing applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop hardware-near software for measurement devices, sensors, and actuators.
• Bring measurement systems to life by supporting setup and commissioning with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure the reliable operation of existing systems by analyzing faults and developing effective solutions.
• Make measurement data usable and available to applications and users.
• Design, develop, and document appropriate human-machine interfaces (HMIs) and programming interfaces (APIs) for various application areas.
• Actively drive the software strategy for measurement systems.
• Enable others to safely use the systems by creating understandable user manuals, training materials, and conducting user training.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Information Systems Engineering, Technical Computer Science, or comparable qualification.
• Very good knowledge of C/C++, C#, Python, as well as scripting and database languages.
• Solid experience in software engineering, particularly in requirements analysis, software design, and interface design.
• Basic knowledge in scientific computing, measurement technology, and sensor technology.
• Good written and spoken German and English.
• Strong communication skills, teamwork, and independent working style.
• High self-initiative, willingness to learn, and readiness to familiarize yourself with new areas.
