About the Position
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with expertise in Python, React.js, Django, and GraphQL to join our team. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in Poland.
Responsibilities
- Developing tools for data analysis with a focus on sustainability and reusability
- Collaborating with agile teams to iteratively solve scientific software engineering challenges
- Building and maintaining front-end applications using React.js and TypeScript
- Implementing back-end services using Python, Django, and Celery
- Designing and integrating REST and GraphQL APIs for data interaction
- Managing source code using GitHub and ensuring adherence to best practices in software engineering
- Performing testing using frameworks such as pytest and optionally e2e testing with Playwright
- Utilizing RDBMS and NoSQL databases like Postgres and MongoDB for data storage and retrieval
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in developing tools for data analysis
- Strong expertise in Python, with practical experience in Django and Celery
- Proven frontend development skills using React.js and TypeScript
- Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs
- Familiarity with source code management using GitHub
- Solid understanding of RDBMS and NoSQL databases, particularly Postgres and MongoDB
- A strong focus on testing practices, including experience with pytest
- Fluent English
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of AWS
- Basic understanding of biological domain concepts and data analysis skills
- BS or higher in bioinformatics, computer science, or a related field
Salary
6000-8000 PLN per hour
