About the Position
We are looking for a Software Engineer - ROR to join our team at Maropost in Mohali, Punjab (Hybrid). If you're passionate about building scalable backend applications and REST APIs using Ruby on Rails, and you're ready to make a significant impact, Maropost is the place for you.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage a REST API stack for Maropost Web Apps.
- Work on concrete architecture design and prototype it based on our big data, analytics, and cloud-native product vision.
- Design scalable, performance-driven solutions and drive innovation within the engineering team.
- Lead the architecture and design governance for systems and products, and ensure code and design reviews.
- Provide technical leadership to the development team and ensure adherence to industry-standard best practices.
- Evaluate and improve the tools and frameworks used in software development.
- Design, develop, and architect complex web applications.
- Integrate with ML and NLP engines.
- Utilize DevOps practices (CI/CD, Monitoring, Kubernetes), DBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL), and scaling on AWS or GCP.
Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech
- 3+ years of experience with building, designing, and architecting backend applications, web apps, and analytics, preferably in the commerce cloud or marketing automation domain.
- Experience in deploying applications at scale in production systems.
- Experience with platform security capabilities (TLS, SSL, etc.).
- Experience in high-performance web-scale & real-time response systems.
- Experience in building and managing API endpoints for multimodal clients.
- Enthusiasm to learn and contribute to a challenging & fun-filled startup.
- Strong problem-solving skills and efficient coding practices.
- Very strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
- Advanced knowledge of HLD, LLD, and Design Patterns.
- Hands-on experience with tech stacks-RoR and PostgreSQL.
