About the Position

Software Engineer to Credit Decisions Team

Join Swedbank's Credit Decisions team as a Software Engineer where you will support a highly skilled team owning a complex, business-critical lending solution designed to make our customers’ financial lives easier.

  • Contribute to the full cycle of system development: analyze, design, develop, test, implement, and maintain solutions delivered by the team
  • Take a role in solutions’ architectural decisions, helping the team to build sustainable technical and system design
  • Be part of a unique Tech Modernization initiative - rewriting of the main Lending decision-making system in the Baltics for private and corporate customers
  • Collaborate with team members to plan, define, design, and deliver new features

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the full cycle of system development: analyze, design, develop, test, implement, and maintain solutions delivered by the team
  • Take a role in solutions’ architectural decisions, helping the team to build sustainable technical and system design
  • Be part of a unique Tech Modernization initiative - rewriting of the main Lending decision-making system in the Baltics for private and corporate customers
  • Collaborate with team members to plan, define, design, and deliver new features

Requirements

  • Advanced in software design and architecture, and development of scalable, complex systems
  • Experience and ability to build system architecture, including API integrations
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Java (8 and 25), Spring, Hibernate, Angular, Oracle DBMS, Gradle, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Selenium, Kafka
  • Inspired by Clean Code and Clean Architecture principles
  • Cloud or DevOps understanding
  • Agile mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
  • Interest in exploring solutions to improve development and automation
  • Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering)
  • Fluent English and comfort working in an international environment
  • Lending domain knowledge will be an advantage

Salary

  • If employed in Latvia, the salary offered for this position ranges from 3900-5900 € gross i.e. before taxes.
  • If employed in Estonia, the salary offered for this position ranges from 4400-6600 € gross i.e. before taxes.
