Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

We are looking for a Software Engineer with DIS CD SME and DevOps to join our team in Pune, India. You'll be working in the ETD middle office clearing pod, as part of the Technology division in the ETD Financing Clearing crew. We provide middle office business platform production capabilities for ETD clearing business. This benefits our clients and the house business. As a Software Engineer, you'll play an important role in ensuring quality and compliance of the product, from a technical, functional and non-functional requirement (i.e. production stability, performance, maintainability, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Provide technology solutions that will solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services.
  • Analyze business requirements for the ETD Financing Clearing middle office applications.
  • Design, plan, and deliver sustainable solutions using modern programming languages.
  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing applications.
  • Conduct code reviews and test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design and other phases of SDLC.
  • See that proper operational controls and procedures are implemented to process the move from test to production.

Requirements

  • Must have

    • Overall 8+ years of IT experience, including 5 years of hands-on experience in the FIS CD Clearing application.
    • Software engineer/developer focused on complex cloud solutions within the finance sector, for example, Azure, Kubernetes, etc.
    • Strong understanding and expertise in handling FIS CD Trade Clearing application, a Clearing middle office functional and technical solution that use market connections and gateways.
    • Know-how to apply standards, methods, techniques and templates as defined by our SDLC (for example, code repository handling, code inspection, penetration-avoidance) Gitlab, Terraform, etc.
    • Produce secure and clean code that is stable, operational, consistent and well-performing.
    • Design, plan, and deliver solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment.
    • Developing and configuring complex ETD middle office mandated technical requirements by meeting critical enterprise risk requirements standards set by the firm.
    • Strong active listening and communication skills to build networks and partnerships at all levels.
    • Bachelor's/Master's degree or equivalent with a focus in Finance and Technology.
    • Able to code in Java and Python, and hands-on experience in scripting languages like PowerShell or Bash, etc., is also desirable.

    • Previous experience with financial projects.
