Software Engineering Manager (Senior)

About the Position

Boost IT is hiring a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead development teams in Spain, focusing on automotive and insurance software services. Our client, a US-based company providing data and software services to the automotive and insurance industry, has development teams spread across the globe. We are looking for a dynamic leader to join their hub in Spain (Seville or Madrid).

Responsibilities

• Manage Squads/teams within the center of excellence, ensuring issues and requests are dealt with in a timely manner.
• Manage Squads/teams that operate in Kanban and Scrum.
• Help the technical team, when necessary, with hands-on coding as needed to help squads hit targets.
• Establish a healthy relationship with stakeholders.
• Monitor and oversee daily activities of the delivery teams, identifying roadblocks or any dependencies as needed.
• Set priorities.
• Analyzing and reporting team KPIs from Scrum and Kanban-based squads.
• Mentor and help the team grow.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering/Science or equivalent.
• Solid background and experience being a Team Leader across agile environments.
• Experience in Leading cross-functional teams to deliver solutions on time and above expectations and has managed operations over more than 200 engineers.
• Experience in developing with Java or .NET.
• Experience and ability to explain complex technical strategies in a way that non-technical people may understand.
• Experience in managing roadmap execution.
• Experience in managing legacy application and modernization initiatives.
• Strong creative problem-solving and analytical skills to identify opportunities and roadblocks or dependencies through research data and customer insights to improve the customer experience and drive digital transformation.
• English Fluency.
• Live in Spain or availability of relocation to Spain (Madrid or Seville).
