About the Position

Software Product Owner (m/w/d)

betzemeier automotive software GmbH & Co. KG is seeking a Software Product Owner to join our team in Neutraubling, Bayern, DE. This role involves managing our product backlog and ensuring seamless integration with our cloud architecture.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new requirements for technical feasibility and effort with developers.
• Ensure new features remain compatible with our cloud architecture, event-sourcing logic, and existing interfaces.
• Actively monitor the performance of our cloud products, collect data and customer feedback, and derive targeted improvements for upcoming releases.
• Coordinate integrations with third-party systems (e.g., manufacturer interfaces, external services) while maintaining stability and scalability.
• Plan deployments with development teams and ensure smooth introduction of new features.
• Prioritize technical and functional requirements, formulate clear user stories, and maintain a structured, well-groomed backlog.
• Ensure clear communication, both internally and externally, and lead teams with priority and focus.

Requirements

• Completed studies in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable education.
• Several years of professional experience in product management or as a Product Owner in the software environment.
• Knowledge of modern software architectures such as Microservices, Event-Sourcing, and Cloud-Native environments.
• Experience with interfaces (REST, GraphQL, SOAP) and understanding of data flows between systems.
• Proficient use of Jira and Confluence, and ideally experience with CI/CD-supported development processes.
• Solid knowledge of agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban, including sprint planning and backlog management.
• Very good German language skills in speech and writing, as well as secure English language skills in a technical environment.

• Fluency in German and English
