About the Position
Drive system enhancements and process re-engineering at EPAM. As a Software Testing Engineer (Insurance), you will ensure the quality and integrity of deliverables through robust functional testing, impact analysis, and end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT) before production releases.
Responsibilities
- Establish comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios, write robust test cases, and execute testing plans
- Own the test plan sign-off process and ensure functional testing quality to support flawless production implementations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications and review Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)
- Perform detailed impact analysis on existing systems and map end-to-end user journeys to blueprint testing parameters
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to verify system outcomes match expected business rules
- Assist operations teams with defect triaging and production error resolution
- Support change management by documenting process changes, updating operations guides, and training staff on new rules
Requirements
- Hands-on expertise in the software testing lifecycle, including designing functional test scenarios, writing test cases, and tracking defects
- Proficiency in requirements gathering, business analysis, and translating business needs into technical specifications
- Demonstrated ability to design visual process maps, user flows, and end-to-end user journeys
- Strong analytical skills to perform impact assessments, identify system gaps, and translate operational issues into compliant solutions
- Excellent communication skills to bridge technical teams and business users, facilitate audits, and coordinate deliverables
- Experience working within Agile frameworks to coordinate and deliver system enhancements
- Ability to adapt to continuous improvement processes, manage testing timelines, and support operational change management
Nice to Have
- ISTQB certification or Scrum Master credentials (CSM/PSM)
- Lean Six Sigma certification or training in human-centered design principles
- Experience utilizing test management and defect tracking software such as Jira, Confluence, or HP ALM
