About the Position
We are seeking a Solution Architect with 3-5 years of experience to join our IT Enterprise Services & Fraud team, working on functional architecture in the Retail Banking domain. You will be collaborating with one of the biggest Bank Networks in the Retail Banking domain.
Responsibilities
- Apply strong domain and Decision Driven Design experience, create Solution Design Documents (SDD)
- Own the end-to-end Solution Architecture, collaborating and coordinating input from other architecture disciplines
- Document complex As-Is / Transition / Target Architectures aligned to associated roadmaps
- Understand migrating/decommissioning from legacy technologies to new technologies and how to remove obsolescence
Requirements
- 3-5 years of Solution Architecture experience
- Experience in IT Systems Design and Solutions Architecture working in Financial Institutions (Retail or Corporate)
- Experience in creating practical, workable architectures that can be aligned to IT principles/standards, whilst following appropriate governance
- Collaboration is critical, as is the ability to communicate complex concepts (both written and verbal)
- Demonstrable experience to diplomatically challenge and influence a diverse set of stakeholders and colleagues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Nice to Have
- Knowledge and/or experience in architecting solutions for Financial Institutions
- Ability to deal with ambiguity with resilience to drive clarity/agreement
- Good organisational and prioritisation skills across competing demands on time
- A strong sense of initiative, with the ability to learn fast (new concepts and skills) and deal calmly with situations under pressure
- Ability to manage risks in a highly regulated business/environment
