About the Role

As a Solution Architect, you will create and document IT solutions on project level. You will collaborate with business, security, and development teams to design digital solutions for both on-premise and cloud environments. A key aspect is ensuring that the designed solutions comply with the governance processes.

Responsibilities

Creating and managing architecture solutions: This involves designing, explaining, and documenting the architecture solution and security countermeasures primarily within internal projects.
Designing distributed systems: The role entails the design of distributed systems applications (both front and back end) in AWS, Azure cloud using native cloud/serverless approaches, as well as on-premise.
Cross-environment systems covering: This involves handling end-to-end systems that lay across on-premise and cloud environments.
Documenting and updating: Being responsible for documenting architecture decisions, goals, debts, risks, technical quality requirements in Confluence, and keeping solution architecture documentation up-to-date.
Solution modeling: The role includes modeling in UML and ArchiMate diagrams of the solution.
Researching and advising: This includes researching, evaluating, and driving modern technologies/solutions to solve customer needs, advising regarding architecture patterns and other reference architecture components, and making spikes to learn about the technologies introduced.
Performing other tasks entrusted by superiors, within the scope of the position, and possessed competences.

Requirements

Fluency in English
University degree in Computer Science or a related field
Several years of experience in IT architecture with a focus on web-based environments
Proficiency in one of the following technology stacks:
- JAVA and Spring Boot
- GraphQL and modern Frontend technologies (such as React, Next.js)
Knowledge of cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure
Advanced knowledge of architectural patterns
Experience with micro-frontends, modern Frontend architectures, and serverless architectures
Hands-on knowledge in AI agentic software delivery
Openness, solidity, responsibility
Customer needs orientation and ability to build relations with customers
Ability to think analytically and work in a team
Great communication and negotiation skills
Ability to mentor team members in solution architecture and technology
Openness to supporting the development of technical skills of team members
Ability to operate effectively under ambiguous requirements and conditions

Nice to Have

Fluency in German is a plus
Strong experience with AWS services
