Solution Architect

Join Intellias, a leading software provider in the automotive industry, as a Solution Architect to develop the future of driving. Develop web applications and microservices for the Azure cloud, and become part of a dedicated team shaping commercial mobility throughout Europe.

Responsibilities

• Support teams in defining the scope of the project
• Responsible for planning, developing, owning, and running the web applications of the team, with the team
• Develop Java web microservices for the Azure cloud, providing functionality and APIs, which are mostly used by our App, angular-based frontends, and function as stand-alone API
• Develop framework services or libraries to be used by other teams in the same landscape
• Create unit, component, and container tests to ensure code is functioning as expected
• Create well-written service/API documentation

Requirements

• Good experience in the architecture of event-driven & streaming architecture and integration solutions using APIs and Kafka
• Good experience with Interface design (API: Open API, Kafka: AsyncAPI)
• Good analytics skills, able to architect & implement (with support of Dev & product team), the best possible solution based on functional, technical & operational requirements
• Good experience with various integration technologies including Kafka, APIs, and other streaming platforms & integration patterns
• Experience with stream processing technologies like Kafka streams and/or Apache Flink
• Good experience with stakeholder management e.g. with product team, external partners, and coordinating the implementation of solution with development team
• Able to work independently, without micromanagement, to perform her/his defined tasks and coordinate with developers
• Strong REST API design skills, including resource modeling, HTTP semantics, error handling, pagination, idempotency, and security. Experience designing clear API contracts and managing versioning, backward compatibility, and deprecation
• Solid experience with Java and Spring Boot, with a focus on designing high-load, event-driven systems. Understanding of reactive programming and practical experience with Spring WebFlux and Project Reactor, including when to use reactive approaches and their trade-offs. Ability to guide development teams on scalability, non-blocking processing, backpressure, resilience, and performance
• Ability to make, document, and present architecture decisions by evaluating alternatives, trade-offs, risks, and business impact. Clearly communicate proposed solutions and decision rationale to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to clarify stakeholder responsibilities and decision ownership, using tools such as a RACI matrix, and coordinate solution delivery across product, development, operations, and external partners
