About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join our dynamic team. The Solution Architect serves as a senior technical leader responsible for defining and overseeing the technical direction of client engagements throughout both the sales cycle and delivery lifecycle.

The role ensures that software solutions are architecturally robust, maintainable, secure, scalable, operationally efficient, and aligned with business objectives.

Beyond project-level responsibilities, the Solution Architect contributes to the continuous improvement of engineering practices across the organisation, helping establish technical consistency, architectural excellence, and long-term technology strategy.

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

  • Defines architectural strategy for projects: infrastructure, deployment, DevOps, security, and scalability.
  • Approves key technical decisions across API design, cloud, databases, containerisation, and frameworks.
  • Serves as the primary escalation point for complex technical challenges.
  • Supports Tech Leads and delivery teams.
  • Identifies technical risks and drives their resolution.

Engineering Excellence

  • Promotes standards across code quality, secure development, automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and documentation.
  • Encourages continuous improvement and adherence to internal methodologies and delivery standards.

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Partners with PMs, BAs, and business stakeholders to balance technical decisions with timelines and budget.
  • Communicates trade-offs, risks, and dependencies to both internal teams and client representatives.

Pre-Sales

  • Leads technical discussions during discovery, responds to RFIs/RFPs, designs solutions, produces architecture diagrams, supports estimation, and presents proposals to prospective clients.

Technology Office

  • Participates in architectural reviews, shapes technical standards and reference architectures, shares knowledge through workshops and mentoring, and contributes to innovation initiatives and reusable patterns.

Requirements

Hard Skills

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership responsibilities.
  • 3+ years in a Solution Architect, Software Architect, Principal Engineer, or similar role.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering complex software systems in production.
  • Experience working directly with clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in discovery, solution design, estimation, and pre-sales activities.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture and distributed systems.
  • Experience designing scalable, secure, and cloud-native solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of APIs, integrations, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, containerisation, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Understanding of data architecture, security principles, and non-functional requirements.
  • Ability to evaluate technology choices, architectural trade-offs, and technical risks.
  • Ability to define technical vision and architectural strategy.
  • Experience mentoring engineering leaders and development teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
  • Upper-Intermediate or higher English proficiency.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Healthcare, FinTech, Security, or other regulated industries.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Architecture-related certifications.
  • Experience with AI-powered, data-intensive, or cloud-native platforms.
  • Participation in internal R&D or technology initiatives.
