Solution Engineer – Agile/Scrum Delivery Master

About the Position

We are looking for an expert Solution Engineer – Agile/Scrum Delivery Master with extensive experience in cloud native software projects to join our team in Brussels, Belgium. This role is part of a highly ambitious program called eDossier, which involves multiple projects with a tight timeline. The position is temporary, with contracts that are terminable immediately but renewable based on positive evaluations, until at least the end of 2028.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, manage, and decommission IT solutions within your team.
• Act as an energetic Solution Engineer with a passion for IT and a positive can-do attitude.
• Work as a core member of a multidisciplinary and cross-functional team, primarily driven by client needs.
• Contribute to achieving team goals and support the delivery of quality products to our clients.
• Understand the entire IT stack and design solutions to guide the team in developing secure and robust solutions.
• Utilize technical expertise and experience to contribute to all sprint events (planning, refinements, retrospectives, demos, daily stand-ups).
• Help create a mid- to long-term release calendar for various initiatives, considering external dependencies.
• Continuously develop your expertise by gathering, updating, and sharing knowledge about new tools and practices within the team.
• Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex challenges and deliver effective solutions.
• Work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to fully understand and meet project needs.
• Demonstrate maturity to work independently and proactively.

Requirements

• Languages

  • Active knowledge of Dutch
  • Active knowledge of English
  • Active knowledge of French

• Skills

  • Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture and systems (event sourcing and event handling)
  • Hands-on experience as a scrum/agile delivery master within cloud native software projects
  • Hands-on experience with software design (cloud, API, microservices, eventing)
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps to manage agile software/solution delivery
  • Hands-on experience with the development and integration of microservices
  • Hands-on experience with the design/definition and development of APIs
  • Hands-on Java SE experience
  • Hands-on experience with Java SE10+
  • Hands-on experience with the implementation of agile frameworks, such as Safe and Less
  • Hands-on experience as a scrum/agile delivery master, combined or not with the role of Java developer or software architect, within greenfield software projects using the following technologies: APIs, microservices, eventing, and cloud

Nice to Have

• Knowledge and use of Behavioral or Domain Driven Design, Development, and Testing
• Knowledge of the Angular framework
