About the Position
Microsoft is seeking a Sourcing Director to lead their Cloud Supply Chain organization in Taipei, Taiwan. This role involves managing sourcing strategy and supplier relationships.
Responsibilities
- Managing sourcing strategy with your team and engage directly with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve any supply issues.
- Working closely with suppliers, you will remove obstacles and provide resources to create a favorable supply chain, review staffing, and influence supplier selection.
- Serve as an expert in tools and processes for managing supply and driving improvements, summarizing complex systems for senior leaders and overseeing standardization.
- Determine potential data sources for analyzing supply, review dashboards for presenting analysis, and design and streamline data management processes.
- Serve as a key point of contact between teams for senior leaders while communicating status, driving clarity, and anticipating future challenges.
Requirements
- Minimum qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 6+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles.
- OR Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 8+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles.
- OR equivalent experience.
- Cross-functional leadership including product design, quality, and business teams to consult on and influence sourcing decisions and requirements with minimal guidance.
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
- Sourcing or Supply chain work experience in tech hardware company (e.g., server OEM, ODM, and other cloud service providers).
