About the Position

Space Avionics Simulation & Software Engineer (all gender)

We are seeking a Space Avionics Simulation & Software Engineer to join our team in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Develop and adapt software models (C/C++ <14) for satellite simulator or other aerospace simulations
• Understand the systems modelling of a satellite or other aerospace platforms and its breakdown into subsystems and components, both on a functional and technical level
• Familiar with modelling approaches such as Simulink, Cameo, or similar to analyze system functions and building blocks
• Perform integration, verification, and validation activities (e.g., SIL) on system level and component level
• Support debugging, root cause analysis, and optimization in a Linux-based environment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across system engineering, software, and testing

Requirements

• A degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, or a comparable technical field
• Solid programming skills in C/C++ and Java
• System modelling understanding (System of Systems)
• Hands-on experience with Linux environments
• Experience with simulation environments, test benches, or SIL/HIL setups
• Familiarity with avionics, onboard software, or satellite systems
• Strong analytical skills to understand complex systems and interfaces
• Very good English skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with Simulink, Cameo, or similar tools
• Experience with SIL/HIL setups
