Our Managed Technology division rents our audio, video, IT, and communication solutions for international live events and offers comprehensive service from project planning to on-site implementation. This includes not only festivals like Rock am Ring or sports events like Formula 1 or the Super Bowl, but also ensuring all guests experience a goosebump-inducing experience.

Join us as a Specialist Event Logistics (m/w/d) in our headquarters in Wuppertal on this exciting journey and experience the fascination of Riedel Communications in action.

In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and operational execution of international project and event transports. You will work closely with project teams, shipping agents, logistics service providers, and customs partners to ensure that our deliveries reliably reach their destination worldwide.

Responsibilities

• You will advise our internal project management and sales on logistical issues and develop suitable solutions for transport types, Incoterms, lead times, and customs requirements.
• You will coordinate and manage national and international event and project transports in close cooperation with procurement, shipping agents, courier services, and the customs clearance team.
• You will organize and monitor time-critical shipments with special requirements, such as fixed delivery windows, trade fair and event deliveries, and special notification and delivery processes.
• You will ensure the proper documentation of all shipping and customs documents and monitor compliance with defined shipping processes.
• You will consider special requirements for the shipment of dangerous goods and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
• You will support the daily operations by creating delivery notes, freight documents, and other shipping documents for national and international transports by land, air, and sea.

Requirements

• Completed commercial training in forwarding, logistics, foreign trade, or a comparable qualification
• Professional experience in shipping, international transport logistics, or shipping agent operations
• Good knowledge of international transport processes, Incoterms, and customs and export topics
• Structured, solution-oriented, and service-oriented approach
• Very good organizational skills and a confident handling of time-critical transports
• Good German and English language skills in speech and writing
• Desirable: Current dangerous goods training for air freight
