Responsibilities

Context

Within the Direction des Compétences et des Practices (DCP), you will join a team of AI engineers who design, deploy, and industrialize ALTEN's AI accelerators: RAG, OCR, Search, and AI Agent solutions deployed on Azure, GCP, and AWS.

Your mission: to transform the business needs of our major clients (aeronautics, pharmaceuticals, industry, tech) into concrete and scalable solutions.

You will be involved in both pre-sales (design, prototyping, architecture) and project phases (deployment, monitoring, MLOps), in an environment that blends innovation, production, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Main Tasks

Design hybrid search engines (textual, vectorial, semantic).
Build robust RAG pipelines combining embeddings, retrievers, and generative models.
Deploy knowledge retrieval systems leveraging Azure AI Search, FAISS, or ChromaDB.
Develop and integrate next-generation OCR solutions (Azure Document Intelligence, Tesseract, PaddleOCR).
Automate data extraction from structured and unstructured documents (PDF, scans, forms).
Design preprocessing, classification, and human validation pipelines (Human-in-the-loop).
Improve the quality and reliability of extractions via supervised or fine-tuned AI models.
Design and deploy specialized AI Agents capable of orchestrating multiple tasks (search, extraction, generation, API calls).
Integrate agent frameworks like LangChain Agents, LlamaIndex Agents, or Azure AI Agents SDK.
Build contextualized business copilots (data piloting, decision support, internal customer support).
Monitor agent behavior using monitoring, feedback, and security tools (guardrails, trace logs).
Deploy solutions on cloud environments (Azure, GCP, AWS) with CI/CD and MLOps approach.
Ensure scalability, security, and compliance of solutions (RBAC, VNET, audit).
Participate in technological watch and technical capitalization of ALTEN accelerators (A3 Initiative).

Requirements

Required Profile

Strong expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and NLP.
Experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Mistral, Gemini, Llama2/3) and RAG/agent frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex).
Skills in OCR (Azure Document Intelligence, EasyOCR, PaddleOCR).
Knowledge of relational and vector databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Pinecone, ChromaDB).
Proven experience with Azure (preferred) or AWS / GCP.
Excellent proficiency in Python (FastAPI, Streamlit, orchestration, APIs).
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams: AI, cloud, business, pre-sales.
Curiosity, rigor, autonomy, and a sense of transmission.
