Splunk Monitoring Consultant

About the Position

We are seeking a Splunk Monitoring Consultant with 8-10 years of experience to implement and configure Splunk-based observability and monitoring solutions in Mumbai, India. The role focuses on designing, configuring, and rolling out Splunk-based observability and monitoring solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Splunk implementation and configuration, strong understanding of observability and monitoring concepts, and the ability to troubleshoot data ingestion and visualization issues.

Responsibilities

• Implement and configure Splunk (Splunk Observability / Splunk Enterprise / Splunk Cloud) solutions.
• Perform Splunk Administration activities.
• Design and build dashboards, alerts, and monitoring use cases aligned with business and operational needs.
• Onboard and integrate metrics, logs, and traces from various systems and applications.
• Support initial setup, testing, validation, and go-live activities.
• Collaborate with platform, DevOps, and application teams during implementation.
• Migrate and redesign existing Grafana dashboards and observability use cases into Splunk.
• Support documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
• Design and build customized dashboards for infrastructure and application monitoring.
• Develop KPI-based visualization panels for performance metrics, error rates, and availability trends.

Requirements

• Must have

  • Overall 8-10 years of experience.
  • 4-7 years of experience working with Splunk.
  • Hands-on experience in Splunk implementation and configuration.
  • Strong understanding of observability and monitoring concepts (metrics, logs, alerts).
  • Experience creating dashboards and alerts in Splunk.
  • Ability to troubleshoot data ingestion and visualization issues.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.

• Nice to have

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
  • Familiarity with IT operations, DevOps, or SRE practices.
  • Prior experience in enterprise-scale monitoring implementations.
