Job description

About the Position

Power Platform & Copilot Governance Analyst

Arthrex is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. Arthrex is actively seeking a Power Platform & Copilot Governance Analyst who works directly with IT, Security, Compliance, Risk, Architecture, and business departments across Arthrex.

The Power Platform & Copilot Governance Analyst will drive the governance, administration, and operational oversight of Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and enterprise Agents. Arthrex's governance program seeks to enable secure, compliant, and scalable adoption of low-code and AI-powered solutions while ensuring alignment with organizational standards and objectives.

As the Power Platform & Copilot Governance Analyst, you will own the governance framework for Apps, Flows, Copilots, and Agents, including policies, standards, lifecycle management, monitoring, reporting, and operational controls. You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to establish governance processes that balance innovation with security, compliance, and operational excellence. A key focus of this role will be enabling the responsible adoption of enterprise Agents by defining governance standards for security, ownership, data access, compliance, and lifecycle management.

Communication with global departments, technical and non-technical partners, and managers at all levels will be a part of the job. Effectiveness of this communication, the ability to build trusted relationships, and strong organizational and stakeholder management skills will drive your success. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, process-driven, and passionate about creating structure, transparency, and scalable governance while supporting business enablement and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Design, establish, and continuously improve governance frameworks, policies, standards, guardrails, control objectives, and assurance mechanisms for the data, low-code, Copilot, and Custom AI platforms in scope.
  • Govern the full lifecycle of platform assets, including data products, apps, flows, Copilots, agents, and AI components, from onboarding and ownership through monitoring, support, and retirement.
  • Translate security, compliance, risk management, and architecture requirements into governance requirements, control objectives, acceptance criteria, and assurance expectations, partnering with accountable platform and delivery teams on technical implementation.
  • Establish and oversee access, data handling, auditability, and responsible use control requirements that protect Arthrex while enabling delivery.
  • Manage metadata, lineage, cataloging, data dictionaries, and data quality, and champion data stewardship, so that governed information stays discoverable and trustworthy across domains.
  • Define and maintain governance monitoring, auditing, reporting, and KPIs that give clear visibility into usage, adoption, cost, risk, quality, business value, and compliance.
  • Clarify ownership at the seams between data governance, platform governance, and AI governance to avoid both gaps and overlapping responsibilities.
  • Enable responsible adoption by promoting high-value use cases and running enablement, workshops, and training, while managing operational, security, and compliance risk.
  • Drive governance maturity through automation, standardization, and continuous improvement in partnership with accountable platform and delivery teams.
  • Collaborate with IT, Security, Compliance, Risk, Architecture, and business stakeholders to align governance with enterprise objectives.
  • Create and maintain governance documentation, standards, runbooks, and operational procedures.
  • Adhere to the Quality System Procedure and Change Control.

Requirements

  • Experience designing and implementing governance, security, and compliance controls in enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft cloud ecosystem, including Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, and Microsoft 365.
  • Understanding of modern data and AI platforms such as Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, and Custom AI or generative AI stacks.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, auditing, reporting, and operational oversight of platforms or solutions.
  • Experience building governance or operational controls that scale across multiple solutions, teams, and environments.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical, compliance, and business boundaries and influence without direct authority.

Nice to Have

  • At least 1 year of experience in Power Platform or Microsoft 365 administration and policy configuration.
  • Willingness to learn the tools, frameworks, and standards required by the role.
  • Certifications in cloud, data, security, or Power Platform are a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with governance tooling in a focus area, such as data cataloging and lineage tools, the Power Platform Center of Excellence toolkit and Managed Environments, or CI/CD and infrastructure as code basics.
  • Experience producing audit, compliance, usage, and licensing reporting.
  • Understanding of security and compliance controls such as role-based access, data loss prevention, and data classification.
  • Familiarity with modern governance workflows including approvals, lifecycle management, and monitoring.
  • Strong command of governance frameworks and controls, with deep expertise in at least one focus area.
  • Power Platform Administration and Center of Excellence, Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Agent governance, tenant and environment strategy, DLP, and Application Lifecycle Management.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, and Microsoft 365 as the shared control plane.
  • Understanding of responsible AI, AI risk, and model and data governance for non-deterministic systems.
  • Experience defining and running control, audit, and evaluation processes for quality, compliance, and reliability.
