Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled professional with a hybrid role combining Data Engineering and ETL Testing expertise. The candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and validating data pipelines using Snowflake & Azure Data Factory (ADF)/Nexla, while ensuring high data quality through rigorous ETL testing practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines to extract, transform & load from various sources, using ADF/Nexla
  • Build scalable data solutions leveraging Snowflake cloud data warehouse
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Perform data validation, data reconciliation, and source-to-target testing
  • Identify data quality issues, mismatches, and inconsistencies
  • Conduct regression and integration testing for data pipelines
  • Work on data-related technical challenges while collaborating with stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of proven experience in data engineering, data integration, and ETL development & Testing
  • Strong experience in Snowflake & ADF/Nexla
  • Proficient in SQL for querying and validation
  • Knowledge of data warehouse design principles and dimensional modeling
  • Understanding of data transformation and validation techniques
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Python & Data Visualization tools
  • Familiarity with US Health Insurance domain
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
  • Certifications or relevant training in data engineering or cloud computing technologies
