About the Position

We are seeking a skilled professional for a Sr. Data Engineer role with expertise in Snowflake & ADF/Nexla at Tieto Tech Consulting. This is a full-time position based in Bangalore, India. The role combines Data Engineering and ETL Testing expertise to design, build, and validate data pipelines, ensuring high data quality through rigorous testing practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines to extract, transform & load from various sources, using ADF/Nexla
  • Build scalable data solutions leveraging the Snowflake cloud data warehouse
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Perform data validation, data reconciliation, and source-to-target testing
  • Identify data quality issues, mismatches, and inconsistencies
  • Conduct regression and integration testing for data pipelines
  • Work on data-related technical challenges while collaborating with stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of proven experience in data engineering, data integration, and ETL development & Testing
  • Strong experience in Snowflake & ADF/Nexla
  • Proficient in SQL for querying and validation
  • Knowledge of data warehouse design principles and dimensional modeling
  • Understanding of data transformation and validation techniques
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Python & Data Visualization tools
  • Familiarity with the US Health Insurance domain
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
  • Certifications or relevant training in data engineering or cloud computing technologies
