About the Position
Sr. ERP Admin - St. Louis - $130k + Hybrid Schedule
Our client, an international consumer products distributor, is modernizing their application stack and preparing for an ERP upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. We are seeking a hands-on Applications Administrator to manage their business applications ecosystem, support users, create and maintain reports, train teams, and ensure systems are stable, scalable, and ready for the upgrade.
Responsibilities

Own Day-to-Day Application Support
- Serve as Tier 2/3 support for ERP (Dynamics NAV) and related apps (WMS, EDI, CRM, eCommerce, TMS, pricing tools).
- Troubleshoot user issues, resolve defects, manage permissions/roles, and maintain application configurations.

Prepare for the ERP Upgrade
- Assist with readiness activities: environment planning, data quality remediation, UAT coordination, and cutover playbooks.
- Partner with vendors and internal teams to scope extensions, integrations, and test plans for Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Reporting & Analytics
- Build and maintain operational and financial reports (e.g., sales, inventory turns, fill rate, order cycle time, backorders, OTIF).
- Create dashboards and self-service content using Power BI (or similar), and develop/maintain SQL queries where applicable.

User Enablement
- Develop SOPs, job aids, and training materials; deliver group and 1:1 training sessions.
- Champion best practices, change management, and data stewardship across departments.

Integrations & Data
- Support and monitor EDI transactions (850/855/856/810, etc.) and API/file-based integrations with trading partners and marketplaces.
- Coordinate master data governance for items, customers, vendors, pricing, units of measure, etc.

Release & Vendor Management
- Manage release calendars, regression testing, and sandbox environments.
- Collaborate with implementation partners and software vendors; track issues through resolution.
Requirements
- 1-3+ years in an Applications Admin/Analyst role supporting Dynamics NAV (required); exposure to Business Central (nice-to-have/plus).
- Experience in consumer products, wholesale distribution, or CPG environments.
- Familiarity with WMS/TMS, EDI workflows, and order-to-cash/purchase-to-pay processes.
- Solid reporting skills: Power BI, SQL, Excel (Power Query/Pivot); comfort translating business needs into technical specs.
- Strong documentation, training, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Bonus points for: AL extension awareness, Power Platform (Power Automate/Power Apps), and basic scripting.
