Sr. Financial Analyst

About the Position

We are seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to support various operational areas and collaborate with finance and management teams.

Responsibilities

• Support operational areas such as real estate, store operations, construction, loss prevention, customer service, e-service, and supply chain departments.
• Collaborate between the finance group, business operations, and members of the management team.
• Research, interpret, analyze, and report financial data from various sources.
• Define requirements, create reporting, and manage the delivery of a wide range of financial analytics.
• Participate in cross-functional team environments and handle a variety of concurrent projects.
• Develop and manage new tools/reporting for measuring and understanding the success of various programs.
• Review, analyze, and present qualitative and quantitative results and data to management.
• Develop process improvements, share expertise with others, and continually strive to improve overall contributions to the department.
• Work with cross-functional teams on the day-to-day execution of analytics, projects, and initiatives.
• Ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables that meet expectations while balancing business needs with the appropriate level of analytical rigor.
• Maintain and develop relationships with partner business units.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative (finance, economics, mathematics, etc.) or business-related discipline.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience as a financial analyst in a management consulting firm, public accounting, or retail company.
• Clear understanding of basic financial, statistical, and economic concepts.
• Experience in data analysis and its translation into client recommendations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented and comfortable with a fast-paced, structured, retail environment.
• Experience in project management.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, macros, and v-lookups. Microsoft Access experience is strongly desired.
