About the Position

Chalice invites a Front-end Developer with a strong technical background to join our team for long-term and full-time employment at our service center in Kyiv, Ukraine. You will be responsible for working closely with an amazing Europe-based team to build cutting-edge technology products and features in an open-source software environment, using a variety of technologies.

As part of the team, you will be developing a client application, a project focused on providing security and privacy to web applications. We are looking for someone with a strong technical background with experience in Electron.js, Vue/Vuex, ES8, and Flow.js for building desktop applications.

Desktop: Electron.js, Vue/Vuex, ES8, Flow.js

The perfect candidate for this job will have the desire to learn new things, work with new technologies, and enjoys taking initiative to solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

Develop client applications using Electron.js, Vue/Vuex, ES8, and Flow.js
Collaborate with a Europe-based team to build cutting-edge technology products and features
Ensure code quality with unit tests, TDD, and regular code reviews
Participate in learning and encouraging others to learn about the latest tech and new ways of doing and approaching problems

Requirements

3+ years of work experience as a Front End Developer
Mastery of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
At least one of the following: Electron.js, Vue/Vuex, ES8, Flow.js
Love for code quality: Write good clean code, capable of providing confidence in own work (with unit tests, TDD, etc.) and participate in regular code reviews
Passionate about learning and encourage others to learn about the latest tech and new ways of doing and approaching problems
Highly self-motivated, ambitious, flexible, self-sufficient

Extra Bonus Points For:

Knowledge of Agile methodologies, coding standards, source control management, build processes, and collaborative development tools (e.g., Github, Bash, Jira)
Working knowledge of other JavaScript frameworks
Experience with desktop deployment automation architecture, design/migration, and troubleshooting
Know-how in building mobile apps for iOS / Android
Knowledge of IP networking
Building product from ground zero
