Sr Software Engineer

About the Position

A global leader in online gaming and entertainment is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Angular) to join their growing Product & Technology team in Sofia, Bulgaria. This role is ideal for experienced front-end engineers with deep expertise in Angular and a strong understanding of scalable application development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain moderately complex features using Angular and TypeScript.
• Debug and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments.
• Write clean, scalable, and reusable code aligned with modern best practices.
• Participate in architectural discussions, team meetings, and RFCs to propose and evaluate technical solutions.
• Provide support during on-call rotations for team-owned systems.
• Mentor junior team members and support onboarding of new engineers.
• Contribute to hiring efforts and continuous team/process improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, with a deep understanding of the JavaScript event loop and async patterns.
• Expertise in Angular, including its core principles and ecosystem.
• Solid knowledge of HTML/CSS; experience with CSS pre-processors is a plus.
• Familiarity with Angular CLI, Nx monorepo tools, and modern front-end build pipelines.
• Understanding of performance tuning, memory management, and efficient rendering strategies.
• Knowledge of software design patterns, SOLID principles, and object-oriented and functional programming.
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and mentoring other developers.
