Location: Bangalore / India
Work model: Hybrid
Date published: Jun 21 2026

Job Summary
We are looking for a Sr.Functional Analyst with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data analysis experience supporting trading risk or capital markets technology platforms, particularly Calypso experience in Back office and Middle office modules.
Responsibilities
- Drive detailed requirement elicitation by engaging business stakeholders, operations teams, and technology partners to clarify objectives and define precise functional outcomes for content management solutions within the ISG environment.
- Translate business needs into structured functional specifications and user stories that can be easily understood and implemented by engineering teams while reducing ambiguity and rework across the delivery lifecycle.
- Coordinate end-to-end content management workflows by designing metadata models, access rules, and lifecycle policies that support efficient search, retrieval, and compliant retention of business information.
- Collaborate with architects and developers to validate that functional designs for content management platforms align with enterprise standards, non-functional expectations, and integration constraints across connected systems.
- Perform process analysis for cards and payments operations where relevant by mapping current journeys, identifying pain points, and recommending content-centric improvements that shorten cycle times and reduce manual effort.
- Create comprehensive functional test scenarios and acceptance criteria, then support system testing, user acceptance testing, and defect triage to ensure delivered capabilities match agreed requirements and quality expectations.
- Prepare clear functional documentation, including process flows, configuration notes, and traceability matrices that help maintain system knowledge, support audits, and enable smoother onboarding for new team members.
- Facilitate workshops, walkthroughs, and demonstrations in a hybrid setting using collaboration tools so that geographically distributed stakeholders gain a shared understanding of proposed solutions and delivery progress.
- Monitor production usage patterns and user feedback for content management features, then propose incremental enhancements that improve usability, governance, and alignment with evolving regulatory expectations.
- Advise business partners on how to leverage existing ISG content platforms and business analysis practices to streamline document-heavy processes and reduce operational risk in cards and payments contexts.
- Coordinate closely with project managers to estimate functional effort, track deliverables, manage requirement changes, and report status, ensuring that milestones are met within agreed scope and timelines.
- Support incident analysis by reviewing functional behavior, replicating reported issues, and collaborating with support teams to define root cause and recommend corrective changes that stabilize critical services.
- Champion continuous improvement by reflecting on completed initiatives, collecting lessons learned, and suggesting enhancements to requirement practices, documentation standards, and stakeholder engagement approaches.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate strong experience as a business analyst with six to eight years in functional roles, including proven capability in requirement gathering, process modeling, and collaboration with technical delivery teams.
- Show deep understanding of content management principles such as document lifecycle, access control, metadata strategy, and regulatory-compliant retention in large enterprise environments.
- Apply familiarity with cards and payments domain concepts, including transaction flows and dispute handling, to design functional solutions that reflect real operational constraints and customer expectations.
- Communicate complex functional concepts in clear business language both in person and through remote collaboration tools, enabling diverse stakeholders to make informed decisions quickly.
- Use structured analysis techniques such as use case definition and process mapping to decompose ambiguous business problems into actionable functional components for implementation.
- Handle work effectively in a hybrid model by managing time, maintaining proactive communication, and ensuring that critical workshops, testing cycles, and sign-offs remain on track without on-site dependency.
- Adapt to changing priorities by rebalancing requirement backlogs, clarifying impact with stakeholders, and preserving traceability so that scope adjustments do not compromise solution integrity.
