Staff Engineer(QA Lead)

About the Position

We are seeking a Staff Engineer (QA Lead) to join our team in Shanghai, China. This role involves leading end-to-end quality assurance for Marriott Bonvoy App, website, WeChat mini-program, and member platforms in Greater China within Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define test strategy, test plan, and release gate criteria; conduct risk assessment and provide go/no-go recommendations.
• Lead QA team and vendor resources, track quality KPIs, facilitate defect triage, and post-incident root-cause analysis.
• Oversee functional, API, mobile, and mini-program testing; promote test automation and shift-left practices in the CI/CD pipeline.
• Ensure digital products comply with China privacy, data security, and payment regulatory requirements.
• Drive cross-team alignment with product, engineering, and MarTech teams for quality delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of software testing experience, with a minimum of 2 years as a QA Lead with team and vendor management experience.
• Hands-on Agile experience; proficient in Jira/Zephyr, Postman, SQL; familiar with Playwright/Appium/Selenium.
• Fluent English for cross-timezone global meetings.

Nice to Have

• Hospitality membership/booking platform experience.
• Performance testing experience.
• Knowledge of Alibaba Cloud/AWS.
