As a Staff Software Engineer, you will help architect and build the core systems that power the Confido platform. You’ll lead the development of major product and infrastructure initiatives-from AI-powered document ingestion to large-scale financial analytics systems.

This role combines deep technical ownership with product impact, working closely with engineering, product, and customers to turn complex operational workflows into scalable software.

Location: New York, NY (Relocation supported)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of major platform and product systems
  • Architect scalable infrastructure for financial data processing and analytics
  • Build systems that ingest and process financial data across multiple sources
  • Develop AI-powered workflows for document ingestion and financial automation
  • Partner with product and leadership to shape technical strategy and roadmap
  • Mentor engineers and help raise the technical bar across the team

  • AI-powered ingestion of invoices, deductions, and retailer reports
  • Scaling data pipelines that ingest financial data from retailer systems
  • Building analytics infrastructure for forecasting and demand planning
  • Designing product experiences that simplify complex financial workflows
  • Improving performance, reliability, and scalability of core platform systems

Requirements

Required

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience
  • Strong systems design and architecture experience
  • Proven ability to build and scale complex production systems
  • Strong product instincts and ability to translate real-world workflows into software

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with AI/ML-powered systems
  • Experience with large-scale data pipelines or analytics infrastructure
  • Experience working directly with customers or cross-functional teams
  • Interest in early-stage startups and high-ownership roles
  • CS degree or equivalent experience
