About the Position

We are seeking a Staff WebRTC/SIP Engineer with 10+ years of experience in building and deploying large web applications to join our remote team.

Responsibilities

  • Tech Leadership, being one of the key Tech drivers for the platform
  • Active participant and driver in the definition of Architecture
  • Intensive communication with Customers and product Stakeholders
  • Design and build highly-available, fault-tolerant backend services
  • Own backend infrastructure that handles video, call state, and integration with third-party platforms
  • Design and build APIs and services that will be consumed by other teams (including front-end)
  • Deliver operational excellence and observability

Requirements

  • 10+ years building, deploying, and operating large web applications
  • Excellent backend engineering skills
  • Expertise in highly-available, distributed, fault-tolerant, and reliable systems
  • Proven tech leadership skills
  • Solid hands-on expertise in Real-Time Media processing
  • Solid hands-on experience with GStreamer, SIP/RTP, WebRTC
  • Experience with Elixir and/or Ruby is a huge plus

The project makes everyday communication-from staying in touch with family and colleagues to reaching critical services like 911-fully accessible and functionally equivalent to traditional voice telephony.
