Responsibilities

As an intern in Accountancy, you will receive a challenging and comprehensive set of tasks. Prepare for a steep learning curve and discover more about:

Accountancy Tasks

• Booking sales and purchase invoices in the accounting package (we offer various packages). Both manual and electronic booking (via scanning and recognition) will be used;
• Booking financial data and cash books;
• Preparation of year-end entries based on the annual accounts;
• Preparation of external financial statements and the preparation of annexes;
• Financial planning;
• Analytical accounting;
• Preparation of reporting at year-end and interim reporting of various companies.

Tax Tasks

• Preparing VAT returns;
• Filling out withholding tax declaration;
• Preparing VAT listings;
• Requesting foreign VAT;
• Filling out corporate tax returns, as well as personal income tax returns.

Other

• Administrative and accounting tasks related to a General Meeting;
• Attending client meetings.

Additionally, at the start, you will be included in our joint internship program with your fellow interns, in which we offer a program of fun and training. Last but not least, you can count on a personal internship mentor who will guide you in the internship assignments and ensure a warm welcome in our Accountancy team.

Requirements

To get the most out of your internship:

• You are close to completing a master's or professional bachelor's degree with a specialization in accountancy-fiscality.
• You have a strong desire to learn about the world of accountancy.
• You are curious about how we further digitize within the sector.
• You have a healthy dose of team spirit combined with an analytical mindset and a sense of initiative.
• You live in the vicinity of Lommel and can easily reach the office.
