About the Position
Context
In an increasingly complex environment, the agility of supply chains has become an essential strategic lever to ensure the resilience and performance of companies.
Parallel to this, AI is experiencing explosive growth and is profoundly transforming decision-making, management, and anticipation modes. Its applications in the supply chain – from demand forecasting to inventory management, through transportation optimization – are generating growing interest.
Beyond market analysis, companies are now seeking to translate these innovations into operational use cases. The creation of specialized AI agents can facilitate access to information and decision support, while improving forecasts on collection launches is a particularly structuring issue for Retail and Luxury players.
How to transform the potential of AI into concrete, reliable, and value-creating uses for Supply Chain planning processes?
Objective of the Internship
Supervised by an experienced project manager, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a forward-looking and innovative subject at the heart of current supply chain issues, in connection with the emergence of artificial intelligence.
Your internship will revolve around two main axes:
-
A fundamental study aiming to deepen the current and potential applications of AI in supply chain planning processes, with a focus on the creation of an AI agent for a specific use case and on forecasts related to collection launches in Retail and Luxury. This study will be based on existing benchmarks and will result in the formalization of recommendations and deliverables that can be reused internally and/or valued on Wavestone's communication channels.
-
Active participation in operational client missions, within project teams, allowing you to discover the reality of the consulting profession and to develop the key skills expected: analysis, synthesis, understanding of business issues, client relations, and ability to work in a team.
In parallel, you will be fully integrated into the firm's internal life and can contribute, according to your appetites, to:
-
The animation and development of the Supply Chain expertise offers;
-
The writing of content for our blogs and communication supports;
-
The development of our internal assets (Shake'Up, CréaDesk, Research & Knowledge Center);
-
Recruitment, school relations, and training initiatives;
-
The implementation of Wavestone's CSR strategy.
Tasks to be performed
The intern will actively contribute to the enrichment of Wavestone's internal offer around AI applied to the supply chain, through the following actions:
-
Conduct a market survey: identification of publishers and/or clients who have integrated artificial intelligence solutions into their planning processes, supported by in-depth documentary research on existing use cases.
-
Design and disseminate a questionnaire to publishers to assess the maturity, relevance, and specificities of their AI solutions.
-
Update the internal technology radar: refresh the supports (summary presentation of each publisher, positioning on the radar, etc.).
-
Define and prototype an AI agent on a specific use case: framing the need, identifying information sources, designing the prototype, and evaluating the results.
-
Deepen forecasts on collection launches in Retail and Luxury: analysis of the specificities of new products, identification of usable data, and comparison of relevant methodologies.
-
Formalize the deliverables: updated benchmark, AI agent prototype, analysis dedicated to collection launches, and recommendations on prerequisites, limits, and key success factors.
-
Write an in-depth article on the use of artificial intelligence in planning processes, based on the analyses conducted and the feedback collected.
-
Define an external publication strategy, including the valorization of the radar, use cases, and the article, in liaison with the firm's communication and marketing teams.
-
Ensure the dissemination and communication of these deliverables externally (social networks, blogs, newsletters, etc.), to strengthen Wavestone's visibility on these innovation topics.
Qualifications
Student in a top engineering school, business school, or a major university, you are attracted to consulting and have a strong appetite for digital transformation issues within leading companies in their sector.
You wish to develop skills related to the consulting profession and the transformation issues of organizations.
Your assets:
-
Curiosity, sharp analytical mind, and ability to appropriate new topics;
-
Customer orientation, excellent interpersonal skills, and sense of service;
-
Taste for challenge and results;
-
Attraction to entrepreneurship and innovation.
Moreover, you want to be an actor of an ambitious company project in full growth in France and internationally. You want to put your enthusiasm at the service of a firm that will be able to offer you a quick assumption of responsibilities.
