About the Position
Framatome, a leader in nuclear technology, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a student internship focusing on the numerical simulation of nuclear reactor component vibrations. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety and performance of nuclear installations.
Responsibilities
- Model Development: Contribute to the development of numerical models for studying the vibrations of internal reactor components.
- Sensitivity Analysis: Perform sensitivity analyses on parameters of current numerical models.
- Model Improvement: Implement improvements to numerical models to make them more representative.
- Validation: Compare test results with calculations and validate numerical models.
Requirements
- Education: Currently in the final year of an engineering school or equivalent university program with a specialization in mechanics, holding a Bac +5 degree.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of structural dynamics
- Knowledge of numerical simulation and finite element method
- Programming skills
- Fluency in English
- Attributes:
- Autonomous and rigorous
- Good integration and communication skills
- Team player
- Curious with an interest in technical issues related to mechanics and vibrations
