Job Description

• Procurement of recycled wood (also internationally)
• Management and development of recycling and waste wood streams at the locations
• Acquisition and long-term retention of recycled wood suppliers
• Continuous market monitoring and supplier analysis
• Ensuring compliance with legal requirements in the field of waste management and waste wood ordinance
• Evaluation and control of waste wood qualities according to the categories
• Detection and evaluation of hazardous substances and assessment of acceptance conditions
• Price and contract negotiations
• Adherence to the agreed annual budget
• Supplier evaluation
• Monitoring compliance with delivery quantities and agreed quality standards
• Ensuring and optimizing logistics
• Invoice control and accounting
• Notifications

Qualifications

• Completed degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Technology, Waste Management, or comparable technical education
• Expertise in waste management and recycling
• Good knowledge of the waste wood ordinance and relevant environmental and disposal regulations
• Experience in the assessment of waste wood qualities
• Knowledge in the field of hazardous substance detection and acceptance control
• Structured and self-reliant working style
• Strong communication skills and confident demeanor in dealing with partners and authorities
• Willingness to travel within Germany and internationally
• Good command of German and English in speech and writing
• Above-average commitment and hands-on mentality
