Strategy & Consulting | Spend Transformation Consultant - Sourcing & Procurement

Accenture’s Sourcing & Procurement Consulting practice is expanding, and we are seeking a dynamic professional to join our Spend Optimization team. We are looking for a driven professional who is committed to building a great business and having a seat at the table in making key decisions and influencing their career.

Whether identifying opportunities to reduce clients’ costs and environmental impacts or proposing innovative solutions that curb the effect of soaring prices and longer lead times, Accenture’s Sourcing & Procurement team delivers tangible business results for our clients – while also enhancing the employee experience, customer satisfaction, and community impact.

As a consultant, you support all aspects of our client-facing projects with direction from our experienced management team. In addition, you use your skills in consulting, problem-solving, project management, and data analysis to assist client decision-making. Lastly, our managers and mentors recognize your leadership potential and invest time and energy in your career to nurture your development and put you in a position to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize disparate data sources into insights and clear deliverables
• Create and present robust sourcing strategies and recommendations to client executives
• Coordinate communications with internal and external project team
• Develop and nurture relationships with client stakeholders
• Understand how to create consensus among client stakeholders

Typical Projects

• Strategic sourcing (both within companies and across private equity portfolios)
• Procurement process reengineering
• Spend analysis and savings opportunity diagnostic
• Pre-purchase due diligence
• Make vs. buy decision analysis
• Benchmarking and best practices implementation

Requirements

• 5+ years of management consulting and/or relevant professional experience (procurement and strategic sourcing preferred)
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint) products, including the ability to develop and interpret complex analytical models and ad-hoc reports
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to present comfortably to senior executives

• Proven client-facing skills and proficiency at building and nurturing client relationships
• Excellence at planning and managing multiple projects, tasks, and initiatives simultaneously
• Comfort in an entrepreneurial, performance-driven environment with a capacity for innovation and process improvement
• MBA or equivalent graduate degree
• Experience in driving insights using visualization tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx) and analytics tools (i.e., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics)
