About the Position
Join us! If you’re ready to start the next chapter in your career journey, you’ve come to the right place. We’re always happy to hear from people who are eager to learn and grow, and share our values.
We are looking for a Director level Technology Strategist to join our Strategy & Transformation team and become a trusted partner to our clients’ CIOs and CTOs. In this senior role, you will lead the delivery of highly complex digital projects for large, global clients, serving as the primary technical point of contact between Futurice and our client teams.
You will bring a critical technical lens to our digital strategy, organisational design, and transformation programs. You will oversee multiple projects, playing a hybrid role that balances strategic oversight with hands-on architectural design. As a senior leader, you will not only shape the technological future of our clients but also actively drive business development and mentor our internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Architecting Target States: Bring the internal expertise together to help our clients develop modern technology architecture and enterprise capabilities that directly support our clients' strategic business goals.
- Strategic Project Leadership: Oversee end-to-end delivery on complex projects, ensuring the highest possible quality of work while managing client expectations and project profitability.
- C-Level Advisory: Establish and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers, offering expert advice that influences and shapes client strategic decisions.
- AI & Data Transformation: Guide clients on the responsible use of data and integrate AI into enterprise capabilities, making it a natural part of future-proof organizations.
- Business Development: Actively pursue new and existing client opportunities, collaborating with the team to lead and deliver high-quality responses to client briefs, ITTs, and RFPs.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Foster an environment of psychological safety, actively mentoring team members and helping them overcome technical obstacles to complete project work.
Requirements
- Extensive Experience: 10+ years of experience in digital, technology, and data strategies or architectures, with a proven ability to move from strategy into hands-on execution.
- Technology Mastery: Knowledge in a broad range of modern technologies, including AI, cloud, APIs, and enterprise systems, alongside a solid understanding of architecture and design principles.
- Commercial Acumen: Ability to translate business goals into clear architectural blueprints and technology recommendations.
- Exceptional Communication: Ability to establish credibility quickly and clearly articulate complex technical subjects to non-technical audiences, both internally and externally.
- Inclusive Leadership: Recognize where there is a lack of diversity or potential risk of biased decision-making, taking action to challenge and improve outcomes to ensure we produce the best work possible.
- Curiosity over Ego: Value collaboration over silos and curiosity over credentials.
- Influence & Advocacy: Speak with authority and conviction, gaining alignment across multiple stakeholders in complex situations while allowing room for other perspectives.
- Drive for Impact: Ensure our work always connects with our clients' bigger-picture strategic goals and initiatives, and manage the environmental impact of our work.
We Offer
- Competitive Salary: £86,000 – £130,000 depending on experience.
- Supportive Team Culture: A values-driven team culture where individuality is celebrated.
- Learning & Development: A personal learning budget (£1200/year), mentoring, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Flexible Working: Flexible, remote-first working with colleagues across the UK and EU.
- Health & Wellbeing: Private health insurance (WPA), pension contributions (6%+), and wellbeing support (£50/month via Juno).
- Holidays: 25 days holiday + bank holidays + your birthday off - increasing by 1 day per year after 3 years’ service (capped at 30).
- Parental Leave: A tiered parental leave policy (16 weeks maternity, 4 weeks partner, full pay depending on tenure).
- EV Salary Sacrifice Scheme: Depending on tenure.
