Strong Middle/ Senior Magento Backend Developer

About the Position

We are looking for a Strong Middle/Senior Magento Backend Developer to join our team. In this role, you’ll build, customize, and maintain Magento 2 solutions while mentoring team members and driving best practices. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-quality, scalable eCommerce solutions in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Magento 2 solutions for complex projects
• Design and implement integrations with third-party systems (PIM, payment gateways, etc.)
• Write, test, and deploy clean, efficient code following best practices
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance existing software
• Convert business requirements into functional solutions
• Mentor junior developers and promote engineering excellence
• Review code to ensure quality and performance
• Participate in Agile workflows and support recruitment efforts

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in PHP development, with a strong focus on Magento 2 and Adobe Commerce
• Expertise in Magento module development and customization
• Proficiency in integrating Magento with third-party systems
• Strong understanding of Magento technical guidelines and best practices
• Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XSL
• Experience with LAMP stack, Docker, and tools like Xdebug and New Relic
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD processes
• Proven ability to mentor team members and lead projects
• Strong communication skills in English, with experience providing technical direction
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have

• Experience with headless development and Magento PWA Studio
• Familiarity with relational databases and the Zend MVC Framework
• Contributions to open-source projects
• Adobe Commerce Expert Certification
• Knowledge of data migration techniques and tools
