🌟 At RDT, we are looking for a Structural Designer in Madrid to join an important project in the energy generation sector, participating in the design and development of metal structures and non-pressure elements for large industrial plants.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop metal structures for industrial boilers and energy generation plants.
• Prepare technical studies, 3D models, and manufacturing plans using specialized design tools.
• Design supports for equipment, platforms, racks, lifting, transportation, and assembly structures.
• Develop auxiliary elements such as air ducts, hoppers, linings, chimneys, and associated structures.
• Review, comment on, and approve workshop plans for metal structures and non-pressure elements.
• Ensure compliance with contractual specifications, applicable regulations, and internal procedures.
• Coordinate with engineering, design, and project management teams to ensure proper technical execution of the work.
• Identify and communicate non-standard technical solutions when necessary.
• Ensure the delivery of technical documentation within established deadlines and costs.

Requirements

• Education in Industrial Design, Industrial Drafting, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Structural Designer in energy generation plants or similar industrial environments.
• Minimum English level B2.
• Professional proficiency in TEKLA Structures for 3D modeling.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and 3D.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and structural design regulations.
• Good organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Valid work permit and residence in Spain.

Nice to Have

• Experience in designing structures for industrial boilers.
• Knowledge of metal structure fabrication, transportation, and assembly processes.
• Experience in international EPC projects.
• Knowledge of other BIM or structural modeling tools.
