Student Assistant, Netcompany IT Security

Are you passionate about Threat Hunting, Threat Intelligence, SIEM, and EDR? Do you want to play a crucial role in IT Security for both internal and customer environments? As a Student Assistant, you will help define security guidelines and ensure that operations can perform their security-related tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

As a Student Assistant, you will be part of Netcompany Operations and our dedicated security team. Your tasks will include:

• Investigating patterns and implementing alerts and visualizations in our SIEM to detect suspicious events.
• Responding to and following up on alerts generated by our SIEM and EDR solutions, including adjusting these for precision.
• Configuring integrations between our SIEM and other systems and environments, including Cloud and containers.
• Configuring and monitoring our IDS/IPS solutions.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should:

• Be in the final year of your bachelor’s degree or have started a master’s degree in engineering, computer science, software, IT, or a similar field.
• Have experience with both Windows and Linux and knowledge of SIEM or EDR solutions.
• Be highly motivated and eager to develop your skills.
• Have full professional proficiency in Danish or English (written and spoken).

Note: It is a requirement for the position that you can be approved for PET security clearance.
