We are looking for a Studio Support Engineer (Sound Focused) with a balanced focus on both professional audio systems and studio engineering operations.
This role combines hands-on work with audio equipment, studio technical support, infrastructure maintenance, and operational troubleshooting in a fast-paced production environment.
The ideal candidate has strong experience working with professional sound systems and studio technologies in environments such as broadcast studios, TV/media production, live events, streaming facilities, or large-scale technical operations.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain studio audio and technical infrastructure.
- Ensure stable operation of studio, broadcast, and production audio systems.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain professional sound equipment and signal chains.
- Plan, coordinate, and support installation, upgrades, and maintenance of studio and audio systems.
- Monitor studio operations and resolve technical issues related to sound and infrastructure.
- Ensure timely incident response and proper documentation in Jira or related systems.
- Collaborate with Production, IT, Video, and Content teams on technical operations and project execution.
- Participate in technical R&D and evaluation of new audio tools, technologies, and workflows.
- Maintain studio asset inventory and ensure equipment remains operational and properly documented.
- Improve operational workflows, technical processes, and infrastructure reliability.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, technical standards, and documentation procedures.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience working with professional audio systems, studio engineering, live sound, or technical infrastructure support.
- Strong hands-on experience with studio audio equipment and signal flow.
- Ability to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong understanding of audio systems, routing, signal chains, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of studio and broadcast infrastructure, including audio/video routing, signal monitoring, and fault isolation.
- Understanding of audio connectivity standards and protocols.
- Knowledge of sound systems, microphones, mixers, audio interfaces, wireless systems, and monitoring solutions.
- Familiarity with video signal delivery chains, including IP, SDI, HDMI, and related technologies.
- Good understanding of Windows and Linux environments, including troubleshooting and routine maintenance.
- Ability to read and work with technical documentation, schematics, and infrastructure drawings.
- Strong communication and coordination skills across Production, IT, and Content teams.
- Experience in one or more of the following environments: Broadcast / TV studios; Live production or streaming environments; Audio production facilities; Event production environments; Video production studios.
Nice to Have
- Experience in broadcast studios, TV/media production, or live event environments.
- Familiarity with Dante, AES67, audio-over-IP technologies, and digital audio networking.
- Experience with cloud streaming platforms and live production workflows.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other ticketing/documentation systems.
- Ability to analyze and improve production workflows.
- Basic networking and server infrastructure knowledge.
- Experience with rack systems and cable management.
- Additional certifications related to audio engineering, broadcast systems, or studio infrastructure.
