Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

We are seeking a Sub-System Technical Leader (SSTL) – Automotive Seating to ensure Quality / Cost / Delivery / Performance (QCDP) convergence within the project scope and to lead the development activities of seating components.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate all contributors involved in the project
  • Ensure consistency between technical and project schedules
  • Negotiate QCDP targets with project stakeholders
  • Manage supplier consultations and contribute to supplier selection
  • Ensure design and development compliance with QCDP objectives
  • Drive technical convergence with internal teams and suppliers
  • Provide regular reporting and manage action plans in case of deviations
  • Escalate critical issues to decision-making bodies
  • Contribute to lessons learned and improvement of engineering standards
  • Support cost optimization initiatives during development and serial life

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years in automotive seating development
  • Experience in OEM or Tier-1 environment is a plus

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of:

  • Automotive engineering
  • Mechanics and plastics processing
  • Stamping and body-in-white processes

Proficiency with:

  • CATIA
  • PLM tools
  • Good understanding of QCDP requirements

Languages

  • English: Minimum B2 level (ability to lead meetings in an international environment)

  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team-oriented mindset
