About the Role

Are you ready to kick-start your career as a Summer Student in Maritime Technical Support next summer?

The DNV Technology Centres in Bergen and Oslo has a combination of strong technical experts within materials technology and structural integrity. We combine our technical expertise with state-of-the-art test facilities to provide value for our customers. We focus on qualifying new solutions needed for the energy transition. We work closely with all parts of DNV and play an important role in developing codes and standards. Our main fields of activity are related to material, corrosion, and structural performance of large critical assets.

We are now looking for a student that wants to work with us next summer!

• You will help qualify new technologies needed for the energy transition
• You will be cooperating with customers from leading companies in their industries
• You will be working closely with our laboratories in Bergen and Høvik
• You will be able to apply and develop skills you have obtained as a student
• You will work with and learn from DNV experts who will help you succeed in your projects

• Help qualify new technologies needed for the energy transition
• Cooperate with customers from leading companies in their industries
• Work closely with our laboratories in Bergen and Høvik
• Apply and develop skills obtained as a student
• Work with and learn from DNV experts
• Experience highly motivated colleagues and a strong company culture
• Be involved in various fields of materials technology

Requirements

• Highly motivated 3rd and 4th year students primarily from materials technology or mechanical engineering studies with an ambition to work in a consulting role
• Proactive attitude to engage with others to find good solutions
• Good communication skills in English. Knowledge of Norwegian is a preference
• Technical interest within materials technology, corrosion, or mechanical engineering
• Interest in laboratory work and testing
• Good digital skills (data processing, FEA, CAD, controller programming) is an advantage
