Supervisor - Logistics (Shipping and Customer Order Planning)

Location: Bayan Lepas, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia

In Malaysia, Bosch has diversified businesses in Mobility Solutions, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, and Energy and Building Technology. The company has three manufacturing plants in Penang providing Car Multimedia, Power Tools and Automotive Steering systems. In 2017, Malaysia contributed sales of RM 615 million (127 million euro) and employed more than 2,800 associates.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day general administration and clerical tasks.
• Ensure all documentation activities are completed in a timely manner.
• Maintain and upkeep documentation with proper filing/archiving.
• Maintain good housekeeping and 7S at the workplace.
• Cover/backup any team member on day-to-day tasks during the absence of other team members.
• Support audit or ad-hoc activities upon request.
• Ability to multitask and complete several clerical tasks at once.
• Liaise with external parties for any external-related matters.
• Container planning and coordination with LSP.
• Pronovia releasing in SAP system.
• Active participation in all Bosch Production System (BPS) Continuous Improvement Project (CIP) activities such as Point CIP, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and Value Stream Design (VSD), BPS Assessment, A3 Project, etc.
• Responsible for general administration to ensure smooth and uninterrupted logistics activities.
• Responsible for logistics planning and reporting.
• Act as a service provider to the internal team on all logistics-related matters and coordinate well to ensure that logistics activities meet the expected timeline.
• Monitor and evaluate the service levels of existing agents through measurable Key Performance Indicator (KPI).
• Analyze logistics-related problems and provide solutions to the problem.
• Support other duties, ad-hoc, or special tasks assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.

Requirements

• At least a Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel).
• SAP knowledge is an added advantage.
• Required languages in both oral and written: English and Malay.
